We have a part-time, 20 hours/week position available. This position will include annual, sick and holiday benefits. Hours include evenings and weekends. The rate starts at $13.28/hour. Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. Information Services Assistant

The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is seeking someone who loves interacting with the public, is approachable, and has excellent customer service skills to fill an Information Services Assistant position at our Main Branch. This position needs a friendly, flexible individual whose primary duty will be assisting patrons in our Adult and Teen Department. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Head of Finance

We are looking for a detail-oriented person with a background in finance who wants to help our community become its best by leading fiscal oversight for the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library. The Head of Finance will oversee all day-to-day financial and accounting operations, including payroll, coordinates the creation of an annual budget, and is responsible for KHCPL’s compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and laws. The Head of Finance also serves as the treasurer for the Board of Trustees. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and three years’ experience working in finance. Experience in government finance is strongly preferred. The position is 36 or 40 hours per week, negotiable. Benefits include health and life insurance, Public Employees Retirement Fund, paid leave time, and nine paid holidays. Page and Clerical Positions:

Applications for library page and clerical positions are accepted at all times, even when there are no openings, and are kept active for six months. An application may be filled out at any library location, or Apply Online.

Library Page: Part-time. Starting wage is $8.82 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. In most page positions, the primary responsibility is shelving books. Other duties might include shelf reading, locating materials, affixing labels on new materials, covering paperbacks, filing, and occasionally assisting patrons.

Library Clerk: Part-time. Starting wage is $11.33 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. Clerks perform tasks in many library departments. Duties range from processing new library materials, library card registration, collecting library fines and assisting patrons with checking out.
